National Kyunguk University 'AI Station' Steps Into the Field Andong City Childcare Support Center

The K-Hi-Tech Platform Project Group at National Kyunguk University announced that on January 14, it signed separate memorandums of understanding (MOUs) with the Gyeongbuk Regional Center of the Foundation for the Comprehensive Support of Enterprises for the Disabled and the Andong City Childcare Support Center.

This agreement is part of the "K-Hi-Tech Platform AI STATION" project, which is supported by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Human Resources Development Service of Korea. The project group aims to establish a sustainable collaborative network by providing digital convergence training and sharing training infrastructure based on mutual trust with local organizations.

First, at 11:00 a.m. on the same day, a signing ceremony was held at the National Kyunguk University AI STATION in Okdong, attended by Jeong Jaehun, Head of the Gyeongbuk Regional Center of the Foundation for the Comprehensive Support of Enterprises for the Disabled. Through this agreement, the two organizations will focus on enhancing the AI utilization capabilities of local businesses run by people with disabilities.

The main points of the agreement include: ▲ providing education to support AI-based business operations for enterprises run by people with disabilities; ▲ supporting participation in digital and AI education programs and incumbent workers; and ▲ sharing resources such as personnel, equipment, and facilities. In particular, the plan is to conduct job analyses and develop training programs tailored to the characteristics of businesses run by people with disabilities, thereby providing practical support for vocational skills development, and to integrate AI technology into administrative, management, and promotional work at these companies to enhance their digital competitiveness.

Later, at 3:00 p.m., a second agreement was signed with Kang Kyungsook, Director of the Andong City Childcare Support Center, in attendance.

The two organizations agreed to cooperate mainly on: ▲ providing training to strengthen the digital capabilities of childcare workers; ▲ developing and operating training programs for prospective hires; and ▲ jointly hosting AI-related seminars and workshops. Through these efforts, they aim to promote the adoption of digital media and AI technologies in the childcare service sector and improve the quality of field-oriented services.

Kim Hyunki, Head of the K-Hi-Tech Platform Project Group at National Kyunguk University, stated, "This agreement is meaningful as it enables us to provide high-quality AI education free of charge to employees across various sectors in the region. We will continue to communicate closely with local companies and organizations to ensure practical digital transformation and human resource development."

Meanwhile, National Kyunguk University AI STATION plans to use this agreement as an opportunity to continuously host conferences and events related to digital and AI education, and to form and expand a digital media community in the region.
