Proactive Response to the Integrated Medical Care Support System
Set for Implementation in March
Changnyeong County in South Gyeongsang Province announced on January 16 that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Donguibogam Korean Medicine Clinic (Director: Sim Hyeonbo) on January 14 to operate a pilot project for a long-term care home medical center, and will begin providing home medical services for medically vulnerable groups in the region in earnest.
This agreement is a proactive initiative ahead of the "Integrated Medical Care Support System" scheduled to be implemented in March, and was established to provide home medical and care services tailored to local needs through cooperation between public and private medical institutions.

The long-term care home medical center will operate based on a multidisciplinary collaboration system. Home visits will be conducted by a doctor of Korean medicine from Donguibogam Korean Medicine Clinic, while nurses and social workers will be provided by the Changnyeong County Public Health Center.
They plan to visit the homes of long-term care beneficiaries who have difficulty moving, assess their health status, and provide integrated home medical services, including Korean medicine treatment, nursing services, and connections to care and welfare services.
An official from the county stated, "This agreement marks an important starting point for ongoing support within the community for residents in need of medical care and support, through cooperation between the public and private sectors. We will continue to build an integrated care system that residents can truly experience by collaborating with local medical institutions."
