The Happy Two Meals Project was established by Gwangju City after signing a business agreement in August 2025 with Haengboknarae Co., Haengbok Alliance, and Haengbok Dosirak Social Cooperative. The project aims to provide stable meal support to children facing the risk of hunger through public-private cooperation.

The program will support 40 children who have difficulty accessing stable meals due to financial hardship at home, with assistance provided for one year from January to December of this year.

Each child will receive lunch boxes twice a week on a regular basis. The lunch boxes will include four types of side dishes and snacks.

Through this initiative, Gwangju City aims to help children focus on their daily lives and studies without worrying about meals, while also ensuring essential nutrition for growing children to promote their physical and emotional development.

A representative from Haengboknarae Co. stated, "We hope this agreement and support project will serve as a solid foundation to protect the future of children," adding, "We will continue to work with the local community to improve child welfare through various efforts."

Mayor Bang Sehwan commented, "It is meaningful that this agreement enables public-private cooperation to support children in need of care," and added, "We will actively promote the Happy Two Meals Project to further strengthen our foundation as a child-friendly city."
