On January 15, Kim visited the 2026 group new employee training program being held at the Kakao Artificial Intelligence (AI) Campus in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province, without prior notice. He engaged in spontaneous Q&A sessions with the new recruits and responded to every request for photos, fostering an open and relaxed atmosphere for communication.

When asked about working methods in the AI era, he said, "Now is a time when anyone can directly realize what they imagine," and emphasized, "Any task that is repeated more than twice should be fully automated with AI. If you have a new idea, I hope you try to create it yourself at least once a week." He highlighted the importance of execution and taking on challenges.

Kim began the conversation by saying, "I sincerely welcome you for joining Kakao after overcoming fierce competition."

He continued, "Joining Kakao means you will be at the forefront of experiencing massive changes in the world," adding, "Gaining excellent colleagues to share that journey with is also a great asset."

Kim stated, "The AI era is both a crisis and an opportunity," and stressed, "The most important thing is to accurately identify what will change and what will remain the same." He further predicted a complete overhaul in working methods, saying, "Ultimately, the key will be the ability to ask the right questions and define problems properly."

After the impromptu Q&A, Kim visited each table where the new recruits were seated, engaging in conversations with them. He also agreed to take selfies with all who asked, making the atmosphere even more comfortable and lively.

Meanwhile, after completing the onboarding process, the new recruits are expected to be assigned to their respective departments as early as next month.
