All-in-One Facility for Financial, Residential, and Medical Services
Shinhan Life Care, a subsidiary of Shinhan Life dedicated to senior business, announced on January 16 that it held the opening ceremony for its first premium nursing home, 'Solace Home Misa,' in the Misa district of Hanam, Gyeonggi Province, on January 15.
The event was attended by Jin Okdong, Chairman of Shinhan Financial Group; Jung Sanghyuk, President of Shinhan Bank; Jung Yonguk, President of Shinhan Premier at Shinhan Investment Corp.; and Chun Sangyoung, CEO of Shinhan Life, along with other group executives. Key dignitaries, including Lee Hyunjae, Mayor of Hanam; Kim Cheolju, Chairman of the Korea Life Insurance Association; and Professor Jeong Jaeseung of KAIST, were also present, participating in the unveiling ceremony, the official opening event, and a tour of the facility.
In his congratulatory speech, Chairman Jin said, "Solace Home Misa is the first senior facility introduced by Shinhan Financial Group, offering financial, residential, and medical services all in one place," adding, "I hope it will become not just a place to stay, but a living space where comfortable daily life continues."
Solace Home Misa is operated for seniors who have difficulty performing daily activities, in order to support a sustainable life for the elderly. It provides comprehensive care services, including accommodation and meals, as well as programs designed to maintain and enhance physical activity and cognitive function.
As a symbolic facility representing the group's senior business, it has been designed to offer the comfort of home with an added sense of refined elegance. The space has been developed to satisfy all five senses, allowing seniors to enjoy both physical and psychological stability in their daily lives.
The facility is staffed with care professionals, and incorporates environmental features throughout to ensure safety, physical comfort, and smart care. The one-person-per-room structure enhances residents' sense of stability. User convenience has also been carefully considered, such as by developing and applying a dedicated font with high readability for those with impaired vision.
Woo Seokmoon, CEO of Shinhan Life Care, stated, "Our operational goal is to set the standard for premium nursing care through a care system that ensures medical reassurance and through specialized care staff," adding, "With the standards and capabilities established at Solace Home Misa, we will complete a life community model where elegant living comes together."
Going forward, Shinhan Life Care plans to fully operate the 'Solace' brand, developed by combining Shinhan Financial Group's digital brand 'SOL' with the Italian word 'VERACE,' and will gradually expand its senior care services based on authenticity and trust.
