On January 16, the Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced that it held the "Large and Small Business Win-Win Growth Policy Meeting" at the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Jung-gu, Seoul, presided over by Minister Hansung Sook.
This meeting was a follow-up measure to implement the "Growth for All" strategy, which is part of the 2026 Economic Growth Strategy announced by the government on January 9. It was organized to gather on-site feedback regarding the win-win growth strategy for large and small businesses.
The government discussed ways to spread the achievements of large corporations in securing contracts and exports to SMEs and venture companies, as well as measures to minimize damages to SMEs caused by unfair trade practices such as technology theft.
Additionally, the government considered ways to expand the existing framework of win-win cooperation-currently centered on manufacturing conglomerates and their SME partners-across the broader business ecosystem, including platforms, finance, and local communities.
Minister Han stated, "Our government is firmly committed to shifting from 'growth led by large corporations' to 'growth for all.' We will do our utmost to build a win-win ecosystem so that large corporations and SMEs, including venture companies, can share the fruits of growth and develop together based on trust."
The government plans to announce the "Large and Small Business Win-Win Growth Strategy," which will include the matters discussed at the meeting, at the Economic Ministers' Meeting next week.
