3.85 Million Won per Student (2.85 Million Won County Support, 1 Million Won Student Contribution)
On January 15, 85 elementary and middle school students from Geumsan County departed for an overseas language training program in the Philippines.
This program is operated by the Geumsan Education Love Scholarship Foundation (Chairman Cho Shinyoung), with a cost of 3.85 million won per student (2.85 million won supported by the county and 1 million won paid by each student). The training will run until February 11, with 49 elementary school students and 36 middle school students participating.
The educational program includes ten regular classes per day, such as one-on-one lessons with native speakers tailored to each student's level, one-to-four group lessons, vocabulary memorization, as well as local cultural experiences like a Manila city tour, special programs visiting local schools, and career and character development education.
Chairman Cho Shinyoung stated, "I hope this training program will serve as an opportunity for the participating students to grow further through new experiences," adding, "We will do our utmost to ensure the program runs smoothly and that students complete their training safely."
Geumsan County Governor Park Beomin said, "I hope our students will gain confidence in English and have the opportunity to grow into global talents through this language program," and emphasized, "We will actively support the program so that students can have a fulfilling experience without any inconvenience."
