Audit Organization Operations to Be Reviewed Following Special Bill Proposal
The Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education has put the recruitment process for the open position of auditor on hold in connection with the ongoing efforts to integrate administrative and educational administration functions between Gwangju and Jeonnam.
The provincial office had been proceeding with the recruitment for the open auditor position to select a successor, as the previous auditor began pre-retirement training as of January 1.
However, with the recent introduction of a special bill related to the integration of administrative and educational administration functions between Gwangju and Jeonnam, the office determined that a comprehensive review of the future direction of the audit organization is necessary. Therefore, on January 15, it issued a revised notice to suspend the auditor recruitment process.
An official from the provincial office stated, "Due to the introduction of the special bill, we need to review the overall operation of the audit organization, so the examination schedule has been put on hold." The official added, "We will decide whether to resume recruitment after monitoring the progress of the special bill's approval and related developments."
