Recruiting 52 Participants Aged 50 to Under 65 from January 19 to 23
Goyang Special City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Donghwan) announced on January 15 that it is recruiting participants for the "2026 Career-Type Jobs Program for the Middle-Aged." This initiative supports retired professionals in utilizing their expertise in public and social service sectors needed by the local community.
This program aims to provide services required by the community, leveraging the professionalism and experience of middle-aged individuals aged 50 and above but under 65, and to support work experience prior to reemployment.
The city plans to select a total of 52 participants for 30 sub-projects in 2026. The main areas include a wide range of community-tailored public services such as health, welfare, education, library operations, and agriculture.
Sub-projects include: ▲ Customized career guides for specialized high schools in Goyang ▲ Youth space program manager at Naeil Dream Studio ▲ Manager for child welfare facility operations ▲ Bookstart manager, among others.
The program period runs from March 3 to December 13, 2026, and the working conditions are up to 7 hours per day, 5 days a week. Detailed work requirements can be found in the recruitment guidelines.
The application period is from January 19 to 23. Eligible applicants are unemployed individuals aged 50 and above but under 65 who are registered residents of Goyang as of the announcement date, and who meet the qualifications required for each project (department).
Selection will be conducted through a first-round document screening and a second-round interview. The schedule for each stage may vary depending on the operation schedule of each project.
