Held at the Flagship Nonhyeon Store
Hanssem announced on January 15 that it hosted the "Black and White Chef Rematch (RE:MATCH)" event, bringing together chefs for a showdown immediately after the conclusion of the Netflix cooking competition show "Black and White Chef 2."
Hanssem participated as the official special partner of "Black and White Chef 2." The "Black and White Chef RE:MATCH" event was designed to allow customers to directly experience the Hanssem Kitchen brand message, "Kitchen is Skill." The event, held at the Hanssem Flagship Nonhyeon, featured comic artist Kim Poong and creator Mimiminu as MCs.
For the "Black and White Chef RE:MATCH," Chef Jung Hoyoung led the White Team, while Chef Lee Moonjung, known as the "Chinese Cuisine Witch," led the Black Team. During the 40-minute competition, Chef Jung Hoyoung presented monkfish liver chawanmushi (Japanese-style steamed egg) and Japanese-style rolls, both of which gained attention during "Black and White Chef 2." Chef Lee Moonjung showcased dim sum and cold appetizers. The audience at the event tasted the dishes from both chefs and voted, with Chef Lee Moonjung's cuisine receiving more votes.
The stage for this event featured a Hanssem Kitchen space designed to replicate a real cooking environment. The island width was set at 2,700 mm to provide ample workspace, and an integrated induction cooktop with minimal overhead obstructions was installed to create an optimal cooking environment.
A Hanssem representative stated, "We believed it was important to expand the interest in Hanssem Kitchen, which gained attention through 'Black and White Chef 2,' beyond just buzz and into real customer experiences," adding, "We will continue to introduce a variety of programs that allow customers to directly experience our brand's spatial philosophy and product competitiveness."
