Notably, this lottery assignment was conducted publicly in the presence of the media to ensure fairness and transparency in the assignment process. The entire lottery process was broadcast live on a large screen at the venue, allowing observers to verify the proceedings directly.

Approximately 100 people attended the event, including the Director of Education, members of the Admission Lottery Management Committee, principals of high schools in the equalization areas, 9th-grade students, parents, and teachers from Chuncheon, Wonju, and Gangneung (who attended voluntarily), police officers, journalists, and officials from the education support offices and the provincial office of education.

The assignment results can be checked individually from 4:00 p.m. on January 16 via the websites of the Gangwon Provincial Office of Education and the Chuncheon, Wonju, and Gangneung education support offices. The results will also be provided to the respective middle schools through the NICES high school admission system.

High school registration and orientation for new students will be held at each high school from January 21 to 23.

Kim Seongrae, Director of Secondary Education, stated, "The entire process of the high school freshman lottery assignment was conducted fairly and transparently through the NICES high school admission system," and added, "We will continue to do our best to ensure that high school admissions are fair and reasonable in the future."

Meanwhile, students who were not accepted in the regular or additional admission rounds may apply to schools conducting supplementary recruitment. Schools that have not filled their quotas will announce additional recruitment on their websites, and applications for supplementary admission will be accepted from January 19 to 20.
