MOU Signed with the Organizing Committee
The 2026 Yeosu World Expo Organizing Committee (hereinafter referred to as the "Organizing Committee") signed a memorandum of understanding on the 14th at the Namdo Market Foundation meeting room with the Council of Heads of Public and Affiliated Institutions in Jeollanam-do to ensure the successful hosting of the 2026 Yeosu World Island Expo.
The signing ceremony was attended by Kim Jonggi, Secretary-General of the 2026 Yeosu World Island Expo Organizing Committee, as well as the heads of 16 public and affiliated institutions under Jeollanam-do.

The purpose of the agreement is to share the progress and vision of the 2026 Yeosu World Island Expo with public and affiliated institutions in Jeollanam-do and to establish an organic system of cooperation.
Both sides agreed to gradually implement practical cooperation measures, including promoting the Island Expo through the facilities, websites, and networks of public institutions; linking public institution-led events with the Island Expo; and encouraging group visits by utilizing institutional human networks.
Kim Kyungho, CEO of Namdo Market Foundation and Chairman of the Council of Heads of Public Institutions in Jeollanam-do, stated, "We will actively cooperate to ensure that the 2026 Yeosu World Island Expo becomes a leading international event representing Korea by consolidating the capabilities and networks of public institutions."
Kim Jonggi, Secretary-General of the Organizing Committee, said, "This agreement marks the starting point for the entire public sector to become a partner in the Island Expo. We will do our utmost to prepare for the Expo through close cooperation with public institutions in Jeollanam-do."
