Busan Regional Public Procurement Service Holds Commendation Ceremony
Busan Port Authority (BPA, President Song Sangkeun) was selected as an outstanding institution for its use of procurement services last year.
The authority announced on January 15 that it had been selected as an outstanding institution for procurement service utilization in 2025 and received a commendation from the Director of the Public Procurement Service on January 14.
The evaluation of outstanding institutions using procurement services is conducted by the Public Procurement Service based on annual procurement service usage and contributions to the dissemination of procurement policies. The top three institutions in each region are selected and awarded, and Busan Port Authority was recognized as the institution with the highest procurement service usage among those under the jurisdiction of the Busan Regional Public Procurement Service in 2025.

Busan Port Authority explained that it has actively utilized the electronic procurement system to enhance fairness and transparency throughout the entire contracting process.
Shin Bongjae, Director of the Busan Regional Public Procurement Service, stated, "Busan Port Authority increased its purchases of small and medium-sized enterprise products through procurement services by approximately 3.5 times compared to the same period last year, making a significant contribution to expanding sales channels for local SMEs and revitalizing the regional economy."
Song Sangkeun, President of Busan Port Authority, said, "I am pleased that the authority's efforts for fair and transparent procurement administration and mutual growth with small and medium-sized enterprises have borne fruit," adding, "We will continue to enhance trust in the contracting process through the use of procurement services and pursue administrative practices that genuinely contribute to the local economy."
