Woori Bank to Expand Support for Commercial AI Software Companies

On January 14, Woori Bank signed a "Business Agreement for the Vitalization of the Commercial AI Software Industry" with the Korea Commercial Artificial Intelligence Software Association. Through this agreement, Woori Bank plans to significantly expand financial support for promising companies in the sector.

Commercial AI software refers to "general-purpose packaged software" that can be immediately utilized in various industrial fields such as manufacturing, logistics, and finance. This agreement was designed to provide systematic financial solutions to companies that possess outstanding technology but face difficulties securing funds during the research and development (R&D) and commercialization stages.

Through this agreement, the two organizations will jointly promote concrete measures to expand the AI software ecosystem, including the provision of customized financial services such as guarantee-backed loans for innovative industries, support for digital transformation based on the supply chain management platform "OneBiz Plaza," and financial consulting through the use of the BIZ Prime Center.

In particular, Woori Bank plans to enhance financial accessibility for association member companies by providing consultations through its corporate finance-specialized channel, the BIZ Prime Center, and will focus on supplying "productive finance" to companies that demonstrate both technological prowess and growth potential.

A Woori Bank representative stated, "The AI software industry is a core driver of the nation's future competitiveness," adding, "With this agreement as a stepping stone, we will spare no effort in supporting advanced strategic industry companies with potential, so that they can take a significant leap forward based on solid financial support."
