Paycoin Launches Payments at Seoul Land... Expands from Everyday Consumption to Leisure and Culture Sectors

On January 15, Paycoin, a simple payment platform, announced that it has launched its payment service at the theme park Seoul Land, marking a significant expansion of its offline presence beyond convenience store-centered everyday use to the leisure and cultural sectors. The strategy is to extend the same seamless payment experience from daily consumption to experiential spaces.

The introduction of Paycoin at Seoul Land is significant as it enables payments at a major leisure facility. Paycoin has been expanding its network mainly around daily life infrastructure, and with this partnership, the company plans to further broaden the "usable payment" experience across all aspects of lifestyle.

The usage method is simple. At the Seoul Land ticket office, customers can present the payment barcode within the Paycoin app to immediately receive their tickets on site. To celebrate the launch, a discounted all-day park pass promotion will run until March 31, and detailed information can be found in the Paycoin app announcements.

Along with expanding to new locations, Paycoin is also strengthening the tangible benefits at its existing partner stores. At Seven-Eleven, where the service was launched at the end of last year, an additional discount event will be held from January 18 to 30 to further enhance user benefits in everyday settings.

A Paycoin representative stated, "The launch of payment at a major leisure facility demonstrates that digital asset payments are rapidly taking root in real consumer environments. Going forward, we will strengthen platform interoperability in line with the spread of stablecoins and lead changes in the offline payment market."

Meanwhile, Paycoin payments work by having the user request a payment through the Paycoin app, after which assets are settled in real time through a linked exchange, and the corresponding amount is withdrawn from a real-name account. The service supports a wide range of payment options, including Paycoin (PCI), Bitcoin (BTC), and Ethereum (ETH), providing users with greater choice.
