YG Entertainment announced on January 15 that the group Blackpink will release their third mini album, "Deadline," on February 27 and will resume full-group activities.
The album title, "Deadline," is the same as their ongoing world tour. Blackpink has been touring globally since their performance at Goyang Sports Complex in July of last year.
The group has already completed the album production, including the music video shoot, focusing on enhancing musical quality. YG stated, "We will repay the fans who have waited with our music."
Last year, Blackpink achieved their third No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200 chart with the digital single "Jump," setting the record for the most No. 1s by a K-pop girl group. This new album marks the conclusion of their world tour journey.
Currently, Blackpink is holding the "Blackpink World Tour Deadline" with 33 shows across 16 cities. From January 16 to 18, they will perform for three days at the Tokyo Dome in Japan, and from January 24 to 26, they will wrap up the tour at the Kai Tak Stadium in Hong Kong.
