The city has established an Emergency Transportation Countermeasures Headquarters and is operating a temporary route by deploying 10 charter buses along the same path as the 9401 bus line, which connects Seoul and Seongnam.

This temporary route links key locations such as Seohyeon Station, Pangyo Station, and Seoul Station, supporting the commuting needs of citizens traveling from Bundang to Seoul. During peak commuting hours, from 6 a.m. to noon and from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., the buses run at 20-minute intervals. During off-peak hours, from noon to 4 p.m., they operate at 40-minute intervals.

The temporary bus service will continue until the end of the strike, and fares are being waived.

In addition, during peak commuting hours, the city is concentrating 46 Seongnam-licensed bus routes via Seoul that are unaffected by the strike, as well as 3,491 individual and corporate taxis, to support citizen mobility.

As of 9 a.m. on January 14, approximately 800 people had used the temporary buses provided by the city. Seongnam City has stationed staff at the first boarding point, Ori Station (Seongwoo Star House), to assist passengers, and civil servants are also riding on the buses to strengthen on-site support and ensure citizens experience no inconvenience during operation.

Seongnam City is providing updates on the Seoul city bus strike and information on alternative transportation options to citizens through various channels, including announcements on the city website, disaster alert text messages, and messages on the Bus Information System (BIS).

A Seongnam City official stated, "We will thoroughly implement emergency transportation measures to ensure that citizens do not experience significant inconvenience due to the Seoul city bus strike," and added, "We hope that labor and management will reach an amicable agreement at the Seoul Regional Labor Relations Commission mediation meeting."
