The agency Belieflab announced on January 14 that the title track "Do the Dance (Borrowed Cat)" from girl group ILLIT's third mini album "bomb" has surpassed 100 million cumulative streams on the music platform Spotify.
According to Spotify, as of January 12, "Do the Dance (Borrowed Cat)" recorded a cumulative total of 100,052,601 streams. This marks ILLIT's fifth song to reach over 100 million streams.
Released in June 2025, the song captures the excitement of a first date in its lyrics. The U.S. music magazine PopMatters selected it as one of the "15 Best K-pop Songs of 2025." PopMatters praised ILLIT for maintaining their lively image while also making new musical attempts.
The combined cumulative streams of all songs released by ILLIT on Spotify have exceeded 2.3 billion. Their debut track "Magnetic" surpassed 700 million streams in just about one year and seven months, the shortest time among debut songs by K-pop groups. Other tracks such as "Lucky Girl Syndrome," "Cherish (My Love)," and "Tick-Tack" have each surpassed 100 million streams as well.
The title track "NOT CUTE ANYMORE" from their first single album ranked seventh on the U.S. Billboard "Bubbling Under Hot 100" chart dated January 17.
