Dong-Eui Science University Launches 'AI EduVerse' for Professors to Strengthen AI Teaching Competencies

Dong-Eui Science University is accelerating educational innovation by offering a special lecture series on generative AI-based education to enhance professors' capabilities in utilizing artificial intelligence.

The Center for Teaching and Learning Development at Dong-Eui Science University (President Kim Youngdo) announced on January 14 that it operated a special lecture program called 'AI EduVerse' for professors to strengthen their AI-based teaching competencies for the 2025 academic year.

AI EduVerse is a special lecture program that systematically covers the basic concepts and latest trends in AI, lesson design and teaching material development using generative AI, and analysis of educational application cases. The program was established to help professors explore the educational potential of generative AI in a rapidly changing educational environment and effectively apply it in their classrooms.

This lecture series was conducted under the themes of 'Lesson Design and Operation Using AI' and 'Lesson Assessment and Feedback Using AI.' It focused on providing systematic strategies for applying generative AI throughout the entire teaching process, from preparation to operation and assessment, enabling professors to develop AI utilization strategies tailored to their own teaching environments.

Cho Chaeyoung, Director of the Center for Teaching and Learning Development at Dong-Eui Science University, stated, "AI EduVerse is a special lecture designed to help professors understand generative AI not just as a technology but as an educational tool, and to use it to enhance the quality of their teaching." She added, "We plan to continue offering AI utilization lectures on various topics that reflect the levels and needs of our professors."

The Center for Teaching and Learning Development at Dong-Eui Science University is actively supporting the enhancement of AI utilization competencies across the university by operating AI utilization programs for both professors and students.
