Paek Jongil, former president of Jeonbuk Bank, who was appointed as Vice Chairman of JB Financial Group earlier this year, abruptly resigned just nine days after taking office.
JB Financial Group announced on January 12 that Vice Chairman Paek resigned on January 9 due to personal reasons.
Vice Chairman Paek's official term was until the end of this year, and he was appointed as Vice Chairman of JB Financial Group starting January 1. The vice chairman position was newly established for the first time in two years, with responsibilities to assist Chairman Kim Gihong of JB Financial Group and to carry out external activities.
