XL8, which operates the real-time artificial intelligence (AI) interpretation and translation solution 'Eventcat,' announced on January 14 that it provided simultaneous interpretation and translation services at the 'SNU KIC SV K-BioX ABDD Summit 2026' held at Stanford University in the United States.

XL8's Eventcat is an AI simultaneous interpretation and translation solution specialized for business meetings, lectures, and conferences. Its proprietary AI engine, trained on expert-curated data accumulated over more than 20 years, predicts and analyzes expressions suitable for different ages and genders to deliver consistent interpretation and translation. The Korean bioscientist network K-BioX co-hosted this event with the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in San Francisco, Seoul National University, and KIC Silicon Valley on January 11 (local time). XL8 supported real-time interpretation and translation for keynote speeches by six leading Stanford University researchers and for all sessions using Eventcat. Participants could access subtitles and audio in their preferred language in real time on their personal smartphones or tablets by scanning session-specific QR codes.

In particular, by pre-training on materials related to bio-healthcare and new drug development, Eventcat ensured both high accuracy and speed, and further enhanced service quality by providing recorded files and summaries. Many participants noted that the solution enabled smooth communication among researchers from different cultural backgrounds. Outside the main venue, a booth hosted an event for creating AI short-form content in 50 languages, attracting participation from around 100 companies.

Jounghoon Jung, CEO of XL8, said, "We are seeing a rapid increase in demand for Eventcat at global events such as the K-BioX Summit, as well as from companies and government agencies across various industries. Based on our differentiated technology that delivers real-time, high-quality interpretation and translation in more than 50 languages, we will continue to contribute to corporate and academic advancement and strengthen our global competitiveness."
