CEO Cambolive visited Korea on the 13th to attend the global unveiling event of the flagship crossover "Filante" at the Grand Walkerhill in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul. During a press conference held that day, he stated, "Two years ago, Renault presented five key countries in its 'International Game Plan,' and among them, Korea is an extremely important hub in the global network, capable of producing and exporting Renault's finest vehicles."

The International Game Plan is a strategy to create synergy between Europe and other regions by launching a total of eight new models by 2027, based on five key locations: Korea, Brazil, India, Turkey, and Morocco.

Explaining why he singled out Korea as the core among these five locations, he said, "Above all, Korea has the market potential to expand into the premium segment. It is also well-suited for applying and validating advanced connectivity technologies," adding, "In particular, Korea offers advantages in terms of tariffs, making it easier to enter other markets."

Regarding the Busan plant, he said, "Currently, four models are produced at the Busan plant, and all of them are exported to nearly every continent outside of Korea." He added, "All new models to be launched in the future will also be localized while maintaining a structure that allows for exports." He continued, "To respond to tariff volatility, it is important to flexibly utilize a broad lineup."

CEO Cambolive said, "The success of the Grand Koleos in Korea has given us the confidence to try new approaches across all segments, and Filante is an iconic model that challenges a new form of crossover." He explained, "This combination, which offers the comfort of a sedan and the dynamic driving feel of an SUV at the same time, is a differentiated experience that only Renault can provide."

Regarding Renault's electric vehicle transition strategy, he said, "At present, we are focusing on responding to the increasing demand for hybrids and introducing models like Filante, which deliver both dynamic driving performance and comfort." He added, "Although it is difficult to comment specifically on electric vehicles at this time, we plan to increase investment if demand expands."

Meanwhile, the "Filante," unveiled for the first time that day, measures 4,915 mm in length, 1,890 mm in width, and 1,635 mm in height. Compared to the Grand Koleos, the body is larger but the height is lower, featuring a design reminiscent of a coupe. The improved in-line dual motor hybrid system, which received positive reviews in the Grand Koleos, has been applied. Prices start at 43,319,000 won.
