LG Uplus Launches 'SOHO Safe Compensation' Internet Plan for Small Businesses

From Blocking Smishing and Phishing to Financial Compensation
Up to 3 Million Won in Coverage

On January 14, LG Uplus announced the launch of a new internet plan, 'SOHO Safe Compensation,' which focuses on preventing financial losses for small business customers.

'SOHO Safe Compensation' is an internet plan designed specifically for small businesses. It automatically blocks access to suspicious websites that can lead to financial fraud such as smishing, phishing, and quishing, and also provides compensation in the event of damages, including support for repair costs of electronic devices within the store.

Considering that small business owners frequently access external websites for tasks such as tax filing, managing business partners, and placing online orders-which increases their exposure to harmful sites and the risk of phishing or smishing-LG Uplus included an automatic suspicious site blocking feature in the plan.

The plan is available in three speeds: 100M, 500M, and 1G. With a three-year contract, the monthly fees are 25,300 won for 100M, 36,300 won for 500M, and 42,900 won for 1G.

Customers subscribed to the 500M or 1G plans can receive up to 3 million won per year in compensation for financial losses caused by smishing or phishing through the 'Compensation Care Service.' Additionally, 1G plan subscribers can receive up to 500,000 won per year for repair costs of electronic devices in their stores in case of breakdowns.

Furthermore, the 500M and 1G 'SOHO Safe Compensation' plans support simultaneous connections for up to 10 PCs, a significant increase from the previous standard of 2 PCs. This reflects the needs of industries such as restaurants, retail stores, small offices, hospitals, and academies that use multiple PCs.

All small business customers who subscribe to the plan will also receive 'Giga Wi-Fi 6' at no additional cost, and can access the 'U+ Boss Square' partnership service benefits for free, which can be utilized in their business operations.
