Warm Landscapes of Everyday Life
Exhibition Runs Until February 15
Seoul’s Gangbuk District (District Mayor Lee Soonhee) is hosting a special exhibition titled "Every Day Is Christmas" by Australian artist Elizabeth Langreiter at Jaeganjeong, a complex cultural space along the Uicheon Stream.
Special Exhibition "Every Day Is Christmas" by Elizabeth Langreiter held at Jaeganjeong, a complex cultural space in Ui-cheon. Provided by Gangbuk-gu.
This exhibition, planned by the Gangbuk Cultural Foundation, expands upon the ongoing exhibition at the Gangbuk Culture and Arts Center, bringing it closer to the daily lives of local residents. The exhibition is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. until February 15, with the venue closed every Monday.
Langreiter, who is based in Sydney, is known for expressing the small joys of everyday life through bright and cheerful colors. Her works capture winter landscapes and the daily lives of people throughout the four seasons from a unique, bird’s-eye perspective.
This exhibition features two pieces for each season-spring, summer, autumn, and winter-as well as the "City Series," which depicts urban landscapes and daily life.
Gangbuk District stated, "We hope this exhibition will serve as a gift of comfort for weary residents and bring hope for the New Year to those who visit Jaeganjeong."
