Bitgaram Information Co., Ltd., an artificial intelligence (AI) specialist company based in Naju Innovation City, Jeollanam-do, announced on January 13 that it participated in CES 2026, the world’s largest IT and electronics exhibition held in Las Vegas, USA from January 6 to 9, where it unveiled its AI-based smart aquaculture platform, AQUAVIS.
AQUAVIS is a digital integrated aquaculture management platform developed for olive flounder, one of Korea’s main farmed fish species, in collaboration with the Smart Aquafarm Convergence Research Center at National Mokpo University, with support from the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries. The platform stands out for automating and optimizing the entire aquaculture process through big data analysis that combines Internet of Things (IoT) sensors and external weather data, moving away from the traditional labor-intensive and experience-dependent methods.
This platform provides optimal production decision-making guides for fish farmers by analyzing water temperature, disease risk, and feed efficiency in real time. In particular, it focuses on maximizing operational efficiency and productivity at fish farms through features such as a feed, growth, and profit optimization model; shipment timing and market price forecasting; and a deep learning-based disease monitoring system.

Additionally, the platform is designed to significantly lower the entry barriers to smart aquaculture by enabling precise management even at small-scale fish farms that cannot afford expensive sensor infrastructure, utilizing public marine data from organizations such as the National Institute of Fisheries Science. Fish farmers can monitor the status of their farms and proactively respond to risks anytime, anywhere through the mobile dashboard.
Bitgaram Information has proven its global technological competitiveness by being recognized for the unique capabilities of AQUAVIS, enabling the export of the "AQUAVIS AI Smart Aquaculture Platform" showcased at CES 2026 to shrimp farms in Southeast Asia, including Indonesia and Thailand.
Choi Hanseok, Director of the Bitgaram Information Corporate Research Institute, stated, "AQUAVIS is an integrated solution that transparently manages the entire aquaculture process with data and proposes optimal growth environments. Through our participation in CES 2026, we aim to set a global standard for digital fisheries, contributing to food security and responses to climate change."
