Suwon Nambu Fire Station in Gyeonggi Province held a joint meeting between the public and private sectors on the 13th to strengthen fire prevention and safety management at resource circulation facilities within its jurisdiction.
This meeting was organized to proactively prevent large-scale accidents, as the characteristics of resource circulation facilities, where special combustibles are stored, mean that fires can easily escalate into major incidents.

During the meeting, Suwon Nambu Fire Station provided training to stakeholders on initial fire response methods using case studies of fires involving special combustibles, and promoted recent amendments to fire safety ordinances related to resource circulation facilities.
Park Junghoon, Chief of Suwon Nambu Fire Station, stated, "Since even minor carelessness at resource circulation facilities can lead to large fires, ongoing on-site guidance and voluntary safety management by those involved are crucial. We will continue to strengthen preventive activities for fire-prone sites and do our utmost to create a safer local community."
