This emergency transportation plan was launched as a result of the full-scale strike caused by the breakdown of wage negotiations by the Seoul City Bus Workers' Union, which disrupted city bus operations in Seoul and was expected to cause significant inconvenience for Namyangju citizens who rely on major commuting routes.

The city has deployed additional reserve vehicles to the 82A and 82B village bus routes operating between Byeollae-dong and Taereungipgu Station. In addition, as an alternative to the 202 bus route, chartered buses will run every 30 minutes from 4:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., as part of emergency transportation measures to ensure that citizens experience no disruptions in their travel.

Furthermore, an emergency transportation task force has been formed to monitor bus operations and traffic conditions in real time. The city plans to flexibly adjust transportation measures according to on-site conditions in order to minimize inconvenience for citizens.

Mayor Joo Gwangdeok stated, "We are activating the emergency transportation plan using all available means of transportation to minimize inconvenience to citizens caused by the Seoul City Bus Workers' Union strike. We ask that citizens check public transportation information in advance and promptly report any inconveniences to the city."

Namyangju City also announced that, depending on the future developments of the strike, it will promptly inform citizens if additional measures are needed, and will continue to respond to ensure the safe and smooth mobility rights of its citizens.
