The Mirae Asset Park Hyun-joo Foundation announced on January 13 that it held the "2026 First Half Mirae Asset Scholarship Special Correspondents Inauguration Ceremony" at Mirae Asset Center One in Euljiro, Seoul, on January 9.
Since its launch in 2014, a total of 364 students have participated in the "Mirae Asset Scholarship Special Correspondents Program." Participants have shared their exchange experiences and local stories from around the world through various types of content. At this inauguration ceremony, appointment certificates were presented to the correspondents, and guidance on their activities was provided. A special lecture was also held, where a senior correspondent shared practical tips and know-how based on their own experiences.
About 20 students from the 34th class of Mirae Asset Overseas Exchange Scholars were selected as special correspondents. They will document a variety of activities in their assigned countries, creating content that covers not only local economic, financial, and cultural issues, but also practical tips and experiences as exchange students, providing useful information. The content will be released through the foundation's official social media channels.
Kim Seoyeon, who is scheduled to be dispatched as a correspondent to RWTH Aachen University, a leading technical university in Germany, said, "I don't want the challenges of my exchange student life to remain only as my own experience. Through my activities as a correspondent, I hope to share practical information such as preparation processes and local living tips with future scholarship recipients and encourage them in their own challenges."
A representative from the Mirae Asset Park Hyun-joo Foundation stated, "By directly covering their experiences and producing content on-site, the correspondents provide a valuable platform for communication and practical information sharing with future scholarship recipients. The foundation will continue to support this virtuous cycle of information exchange among scholars."
Since its establishment in 2000, the Mirae Asset Park Hyun-joo Foundation has been actively engaged in various social contribution activities for future generations, including domestic and international scholarship programs and youth global cultural experience groups, in line with its mission to practice 'warm capitalism.'
