Hampyeong County Launches "AI Utilization Competency Enhancement Training" to Boost Farmers' Income

On January 13, Hampyeong County in South Jeolla Province announced that it is recruiting trainees for the "2026 AI Utilization Competency Enhancement Training" program, aimed at developing farmers who can leverage generative AI to boost farm competitiveness and produce high-quality content.

This training is practice-oriented, enabling farmers to skillfully use AI tools to create high-quality marketing content themselves. In particular, it focuses on cultivating personnel who can analyze trends based on AI analytical data and utilize prompts to operate AI assistants.

The program is divided into two courses, with 20 participants recruited for each course, totaling 40 trainees.

The "AI-Based Short-Form Content Production Master Course" will be held 10 times every Thursday and Friday from February 26 to April 3. The "Generative AI-Based Marketing Course" will run 10 times every Friday from July 17 to November 27.

The application period is open until January 30. Any resident of Hampyeong County with basic computer skills is eligible to apply.

Applicants may submit their application documents to the Management Improvement Team of the Farming Support Division at the Hampyeong County Agricultural Technology Center, or submit them online via email. Final successful candidates will be individually notified by text message on February 6.

Moon Jeongmo, Director of the Agricultural Technology Center, stated, "In this rapidly changing digital era, generative AI has become an essential tool for agricultural marketing. We hope that through this training, farmers will be able to directly produce high-quality content using AI, thereby increasing the added value of agricultural products and achieving tangible sales growth."
