Hills State Eco, Bono-ro, Taeyoung Town, and More
On January 13, the city of Ansan in Gyeonggi Province announced that it has designated three additional "alley-type shopping districts" to revitalize local neighborhood businesses.
The newly designated alley-type shopping districts are Hills State Eco, Bono-ro, and Taeyoung Town. With these additions, the number of alley-type shopping districts in Ansan has increased from two to five.
Once designated as an alley-type shopping district, businesses are eligible to register as Onnuri Gift Certificate affiliates and can participate in various public projects aimed at revitalizing commercial areas. They are also entitled to a range of institutional support.
The designation process for alley-type shopping districts involves a comprehensive review of the application submitted by merchant organizations, including an assessment of whether the requirements under relevant regulations are met, the characteristics of the commercial area, and its growth potential, before the designation and official announcement are made.
For more information about the designation of alley-type shopping districts, residents can search for "alley-type shopping district" on the Ansan city website to find related notices or contact the Small Business Support Division for guidance.
Lee Minguen, Mayor of Ansan, stated, "Starting with these new designations, we will continue to identify alley-type shopping districts throughout the year to invigorate the local economy."
