Hanam City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Hyunjae) announced on January 13 that it will hold the '2026 Dialogue with Residents' by visiting each local administrative welfare center in the city from January 20 to January 30.
This event is designed to transparently share the city's administrative direction with residents and to allow the mayor to directly listen to inconveniences and suggestions experienced in daily life.
In particular, the city plans to minimize conventional reporting formats and significantly increase opportunities for citizens to speak, focusing on practical 'on-site communication.'
The event will be attended by Mayor Lee Hyunjae, as well as key officials such as relevant department and bureau heads. Through a 'Q&A session' where the mayor responds to residents' suggestions on the spot, the city aims to accelerate administrative processes. For complex civil complaints that require further review, the city will ensure swift action through the relevant departments.
The tour will begin with visits to Cheonhyeon-dong and Gam-il-dong on January 20 and will cover all 14 districts in Hanam. To ensure greater citizen participation, the city has been recruiting general participants since January 9.
