The Busan-Jinhae Free Economic Zone Authority (BJFEZ) has published Issue No. 96 of its newsletter, 'HELLO BJFEZ,' for the second half of 2025.

This newsletter, under the main theme of "Logistics Innovation: The Path to Korea’s Growth and Balanced Development," focuses on the roles and future vision that the Busan-Jinhae Free Economic Zone must fulfill in response to the reorganization of global supply chains and the era of the Arctic shipping route.

It provides an in-depth look at logistics competitiveness based on the Tri-Port system encompassing ports, airports, and railways; the transition to smart and green logistics; and strategies for advancing as a high value-added integrated logistics hub.

In his greeting, Park Seongho, Commissioner of the Busan-Jinhae Free Economic Zone Authority, stated, "Amidst significant changes such as the opening of the Arctic shipping route and the relocation of the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries to Busan, BJFEZ is establishing itself as the center of Korea’s logistics map and a key axis for national balanced development."

Commissioner Park added, "I hope this newsletter will serve as a window that clearly conveys to readers a new growth route through logistics innovation."

This issue is notable for its diverse contributions and columns from domestic and international experts and key institutional figures. Authors representing various fields-including the head of the Busan office of the European Chamber of Commerce in Korea (ECCK), global logistics and finance experts, heads of research institutes, CEOs of overseas economic zones, university presidents, and heads of economic organizations-offered in-depth insights on topics such as: ▲ the Arctic shipping route and changes in the global logistics order ▲ smart and green logistics innovation ▲ international cooperation and investment attraction ▲ creating future talent and technology ecosystems through industry-academia-research collaboration.
