150,000 Won Per Person Support
Enhanced User Convenience and Cultural Accessibility
In order to enhance convenience for Munhwa Nuri Card users, Goryeong County will implement the "2026 Munhwa Nuri Card Automatic Recharge" from January 16 to January 21.
The Munhwa Nuri Card program aims to provide opportunities for cultural, travel, and sports activities to basic livelihood security recipients and low-income groups aged six and above who are economically disadvantaged. For 2026, Goryeong County plans to increase the Munhwa Nuri Card subsidy by 10,000 won compared to the previous year, providing 150,000 won per person. In addition, an extra 10,000 won will be provided to youth aged 13 to 18 and to the pre-elderly group aged 60 to 64.
However, starting in 2026, the eligibility criteria for automatic recharge will be partially changed. It will be limited to users who received a Munhwa Nuri Card in 2025, have a record of using at least 30,000 won, and continue to meet the subsidy eligibility requirements in 2026. If these conditions are met, the card will be automatically recharged without a separate application, and a notification message will be sent in January after the recharge is completed.
The card can be used from February 2 to December 31, and any unused balance will be automatically forfeited and returned to the state after the usage period ends. Eligibility for automatic recharge can be checked at the local town or township office, on the Munhwa Nuri Card website, through the customer center, or via the mobile app. However, those who lose their subsidy eligibility during the verification period from January 6 to January 8, 2026, those whose card validity expires in January 2026, and those who received their card through welfare facilities in 2025 will be excluded from automatic recharge.
Goryeong County’s Munhwa Nuri Card utilization rate for 2025 reached 93.73%, the highest in the past three years. The utilization rate for cultural experiences such as performances and exhibitions also reached 11.47%, the highest in the North Gyeongsang Province region. The county attributes these achievements to efforts to improve user convenience, such as discovering new affiliated merchants.
Even if you are not eligible for automatic recharge, if you meet the qualification requirements, you can newly apply for a Munhwa Nuri Card from February 2 to November 30 by visiting the town or township office, online, or through the automated response system (ARS). For more information, contact the Cultural Heritage Division of Goryeong County or the relevant town or township office.
