Singer Daniel (real name Daniel Marsh), who was expelled from the group NewJeans, has spoken out for the first time since terminating his exclusive contract with his agency, ADOR.

On January 12 at 7 p.m., Daniel said during a live broadcast on his personal social media channel, "I fought until the end to stay with the members," and added, "NewJeans will always have a place in my heart, and what happened is not the end, but a beginning."

Starting the broadcast under the title "Dear Bunnies" (the name of his fandom), Daniel addressed his fans, saying, "Saying 'thank you for waiting' is not enough; Bunnies have always stayed right where they were." He continued, "Over this time, my perspective on my family and the world has changed. The moments I shared on stage and the silence before the music begins are memories that quietly support me now."

Daniel also expressed his unwavering affection for the NewJeans members. He said, "The truth remains with me," and emphasized, "Even if I am in a different place, I will support the members as one Bunny with the same heart." He also revealed that he had written a letter for his fans, adding, "Someday, when the time comes, I hope to tell you everything and read the letter I wrote to you myself."

Regarding the ongoing legal dispute, Daniel took a cautious stance. He said, "I am currently in the process of sorting out many things," and added, "I will update you on the lawsuit and other issues you are curious about as soon as the situation develops." During the approximately nine-minute broadcast, Daniel at times appeared emotional and on the verge of tears, but consistently expressed his determination to continue his career.

Previously, on December 29, ADOR notified Daniel of the termination of his exclusive contract. Citing unresolved breaches of contract, ADOR has filed a lawsuit against Daniel, his family, and former CEO Min Heejin, seeking approximately 43.09 billion won (about 43.09 billion KRW) in penalties and damages.
