The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced that from January 13 to January 16, it will receive work reports from a total of 59 affiliated, public, and major related organizations over four sessions.
The Ministry plans to closely monitor whether the follow-up measures for each institution, as outlined in last month's presidential work report, are being implemented promptly, and to focus on ensuring that tangible results are achieved so that each institution fulfills its core mission in a way that the public can truly feel.
The first work report session will begin at 1:00 p.m. on January 13 at the Content Korea Lab (CKL) Business Support Center in Jongno-gu, Seoul, and will be broadcast live on KTV and the YouTube channel. Eighteen organizations, including the Arts Council Korea, the Center for Arts Management Support, the Korea Creative Content Agency, the Korean Film Council, the Korea Tourism Organization, the Korea Sports Promotion Foundation, and the Korean Sport & Olympic Committee, will participate in the first session. They will present the key projects for 2026 and hold discussions on the preparation status for each detailed project.
The second work report session, to be held at the same venue on January 14, will see the participation of 24 organizations, including the Seoul Arts Center, Gugak Broadcasting, the Game Rating and Administration Committee, the Korea Press Foundation, Grand Korea Leisure, the Sports Ethics Center, and the Taekwondo Promotion Foundation.
The third and fourth work report sessions will be held at the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Seoul, on January 16, divided into morning and afternoon sessions. The third session will include 15 organizations, such as the Korea National University of Arts, the National Gugak Center, the National Theater of Korea, and the Asia Culture Center. The fourth session, scheduled for 3:00 p.m. the same day, will be attended by the Cultural Heritage Administration and the Cultural Heritage Promotion Agency.
The Ministry plans to record the second to fourth work report sessions and release them on its website and each institution's website and social media channels.
Minister Choi Hwi-young stated, "To achieve our ambitious national goals, such as reaching 300 trillion won in K-culture and attracting 30 million foreign tourists as early as possible, it is impossible to remain with our existing approaches," adding, "Through these work reports, we will thoroughly examine how swiftly each institution is responding to the needs of the field and the public."
