Recruiting 250 Participants
One-on-One Consultations Available
Seongbuk District in Seoul (Mayor Lee Seungro) will hold a customized tax seminar for residents struggling with real estate taxes. On January 13, the district announced that it will host the “2026 Real Estate Tax Seminar” on February 3 in the multipurpose hall on the first basement floor of the Seongbuk District Office, accepting the first 250 residents interested in real estate taxes on a first-come, first-served basis.
Recently, frequent revisions and the dual structure of national and local taxes have made real estate tax policies difficult to understand. In particular, Seongbuk District is an area with active reconstruction and redevelopment projects, which has led to a high demand for practical tax consultations on capital gains tax, inheritance tax, and gift tax.
In response, the district has invited tax expert Lee Yongyeon, who currently serves as Senior Deputy Director of the National Tax Alumni Association Volunteer Group and adjunct professor at Soongui Women’s College, to give a lecture focusing on tax-saving strategies and key tax issues related to reconstruction and redevelopment.
The seminar consists of two parts. The first part will feature a lecture on capital gains, inheritance, and gift taxes, as well as real estate tax-saving strategies. The second part will provide one-on-one individual tax consultations with five to ten tax accountants from the National Tax Alumni Association. Residents will be able to receive specific advice tailored to their individual circumstances.
Residents can apply to participate online via the Seongbuk District website (sb.go.kr) through the news board or the main banner QR code, or by calling the Tax Division 1 at the Seongbuk District Office (02-2241-4051~5).
