Haman High School Student Council Donates "Sasoham Bazaar" Proceeds to Help Neighbors in Need

Experiencing the Value of Sharing and the Meaning of Giving Through the Bazaar

Haman County announced that on January 12, the Haman High School Student Council, led by Principal Kim Seoyeon, donated 841,200 won raised through the student-led "4th Sasoham Bazaar 2025" as a charitable contribution to help neighbors in need.

This donation was made possible through the "Sasoham Bazaar," which was held over two days on December 29 and 30. During the event, students sold new books that had not been used for a year at half their original price and held auctions for teachers' cherished items, further emphasizing the spirit of sharing.

In particular, every stage of the process-including sales, auctions, and accounting-was carried out through the voluntary participation of students. This made the bazaar not just a sales event but also an educational opportunity for students to directly experience the value of sharing and the significance of giving.

The students actively participated in the event, resonating with the idea that "unused items can gain new value for someone else."

Principal Kim Seoyeon stated, "Our school community has grown with the support of the local community and administration, and we decided to give back by making this donation. Although it may be a small gesture, I hope it brings warmth and strength to our neighbors in need."

Haman County Mayor Cho Geunje said, "The sharing activities that the students planned and carried out themselves have deeply moved our community. I am truly grateful to see the next generation practicing the value of sharing firsthand."

Meanwhile, the Haman High School Student Council continues to foster a healthy school culture every year by nurturing a sense of sharing and community through student-centered self-governance activities.
