According to the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, the Citizens' Action for Judicial Justice (Sasehaeng) filed a police complaint on the morning of January 12 against Lee, her spouse, and her eldest son on charges including fraud under the Act on the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Economic Crimes.
In 2024, Lee applied for an apartment subscription for 'Raemian One Pentas' in Banpo-dong, Seocho-gu, Seoul, and was selected as the top-priority winner in the general supply category. The number of dependents, including her spouse and three sons, was reflected in the subscription score. However, it was recently revealed that her eldest son was already married as of December 2023, before the subscription application was submitted. The profit Lee's side is estimated to have gained from the price difference of the apartment currently exceeds 4 billion KRW (approximately 4 billion won).
Sasehaeng stated, "Lee, her spouse, and her eldest son conspired to intentionally avoid registering the marriage and reporting the change of address, disguising the eldest son as an unmarried dependent to obtain tens of billions of won in financial gains. Lee, who illegally won the so-called 'lottery apartment' by mobilizing even her son who had moved out, must resign immediately."
