A Top Destination for Winter Outings
Everland, filled with seasonal content such as bungeoppang (fish-shaped pastry), snow sledding, and spas, is gaining popularity as a top winter outing destination.
Samsung C&T Resort Group announced on January 12 that approximately 60,000 visitors enjoyed winter outings at Everland and Caribbean Bay over the past ten days since the New Year, where the winter festival is underway.
This surge in visitors is attributed to the success of "Bungeoppang Rush," the first event in the monthly special "Whatever Series," which Everland launched in 2026 with a new theme each month.
Bungeoppang has become a quintessential winter snack, so much so that it inspired the new term "Bungsegwon" (a blend of bungeoppang and station area). Everland has reimagined this snack as a unique theme park attraction, captivating the interest of visitors.
During January, Everland's Bungeoppang Rush offers more than ten varieties of bungeoppang, ranging from the classic red bean-filled version (Patbung) to cream-filled (Choubung) and pizza-flavored (Pibung) options.

Furthermore, Alpine Village, the main stage for Bungeoppang Rush, features a variety of unique bungeoppang experiences, including photo zones, special events, and themed merchandise.
At the magnetic fish-catching experience zone, visitors can receive limited-edition Lenny & Friends stickers based on the color of the fish they catch. They can also win vouchers to exchange for bungeoppang or tickets to make and enjoy their own bungeoppang on-site.
Guests can take photos with the bagel character holding a giant bungeoppang, and a range of bungeoppang-themed merchandise such as hats, plush toys, and hot packs is available. This has transformed the entire Alpine Village area into a massive bungeoppang-themed zone.
Additionally, the synergy with snow activities, which are only available in winter, is another key factor driving the popularity of Everland's winter festival.
With the snow sledding park "Snow Buster" now operating at full capacity since January, visitors can enjoy an exciting sled ride and then warm up with freshly made bungeoppang.
There are three sledding courses: the 200-meter-long Express Course, the Racing Course for solo sledding, and the Rail Coaster, which operates year-round.
Nearby, there are snow playgrounds such as the Snow Playground and Snow Yard, where everyone can enjoy activities like mini sledding and making snow ducks.
An Everland representative said, "The combination of experiences, play, and gourmet treats centered around bungeoppang is receiving a great response. We hope visitors will create the warmest and most special memories this winter at Everland, where you can enjoy the sweetness of bungeoppang, the thrill of sledding, and the relaxation of a spa all at once."
