Maduro's Son: "Father Remains Strong"
According to El Universal, a pro-Maduro media outlet in Venezuela, on January 11 (local time), President Nicolas Maduro of Venezuela and his wife, who were captured and extradited to the United States through a U.S. military operation and are currently imprisoned in the U.S., sent a message stating that they are "doing well and have not yielded to U.S. authorities."

Nicolas Maduro Guerra, a member of the Venezuelan National Assembly and son of President Maduro, said at an event for the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) the previous day, "My father is a fighter, and I want to remind everyone that the United States has not been able to make him yield by any means." He added, according to local media, "He is healthy and holding strong."
Assemblyman Maduro Guerra also conveyed that his father urged them "to hold their heads high and move forward as an invincible nation," reaffirming his commitment to defending national sovereignty.
However, President Maduro's son did not disclose how he received his father's message or the exact content of the message.
The previous day in Caracas, a protest was held demanding the immediate release of President Maduro and First Lady Cilia Flores. However, AFP reported that the size of the protest was much smaller compared to those typically organized by Maduro's supporters.
It was also reported that neither Interim President Delcy Rodriguez nor two hardline government officials, Diosdado Cabello, Minister of the Interior, Justice and Peace, and Vladimir Padrino Lopez, Minister of Defense, participated in the protest.
