According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, the expected snowfall is 3 to 8 centimeters in the inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon Province, 2 to 7 centimeters in northeastern Gyeonggi Province, and around 1 to 5 centimeters in northwestern inland Gyeonggi Province, southeastern Gyeonggi Province, northern Chungbuk Province, the west coast of Chungnam Province, Ulleungdo and Dokdo. Eastern Jeonbuk Province and northern inland Gyeongbuk Province are expected to receive around 1 centimeter of snow. Less than 1 centimeter of snow is forecast for Seoul, Incheon, the northwestern coastal area of Gyeonggi Province, southwestern Gyeonggi Province, the five West Sea islands, and central and southern Chungbuk Province. The expected precipitation is around 5 millimeters in Seoul, Incheon, Gyeonggi Province, and the inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon Province; less than 5 millimeters in the five West Sea islands, the Chungcheong region, Ulleungdo, and Dokdo; and around 1 millimeter in Jeonbuk Province and the northern inland and mountainous areas of Gyeongbuk Province.

In areas where snow has accumulated, such as the inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon Province, the Chungcheong region, the Jeolla region, and parts of the inland Gyeongsang region, melted snow during the day is expected to refreeze overnight, potentially causing icy roads and black ice, so extra caution is advised for traffic safety.

As of 5 a.m., the temperatures in major cities are as follows: Seoul -9.3 degrees Celsius, Incheon -9.1 degrees, Suwon -9.5 degrees, Chuncheon -13.3 degrees, Gangneung -5.8 degrees, Cheongju -7.5 degrees, Daejeon -7.8 degrees, Jeonju -6.9 degrees, Gwangju -4.8 degrees, Jeju 3.0 degrees, Daegu -8.5 degrees, Busan -4.1 degrees, Ulsan -5.1 degrees, and Changwon -4.4 degrees. Daytime highs are forecast to range from 0 to 10 degrees Celsius.

Fine dust concentrations are expected to be at 'good' levels nationwide due to smooth atmospheric dispersion.

Waves are expected to be 1.0 to 2.5 meters high in the East Sea, 0.5 to 3.5 meters in the West Sea, and 0.5 to 2.5 meters in the South Sea. In the offshore areas (about 200 kilometers from the coastline), wave heights will be 1.5 to 4.0 meters in the East Sea, 1.0 to 3.5 meters in the West Sea, and 0.5 to 3.5 meters in the South Sea.
