Simultaneous Sessions Hosted by 13 Regional Offices
The Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced on January 12 that it will hold the "2026 Comprehensive Briefing Session on Small and Medium Business Support Programs" to enhance companies' understanding of support programs and increase participation rates.
This briefing session will be held simultaneously on January 15, organized by 13 regional offices of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups across the country.
During the comprehensive briefing session, detailed explanations will be provided on major support programs in key areas such as finance (loans and guarantees), technology development, and startups. This year's guidebook on SME support programs will also be distributed on-site to attendees. In addition, participants will have the opportunity for one-on-one customized consultations with representatives from support organizations, including the Korea SMEs and Startups Agency, the Korea Technology and Information Promotion Agency for SMEs, and the Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development.

Furthermore, to raise awareness and utilization among local businesses, the session will also introduce various support programs and systems for small and medium-sized enterprises and small business owners that are scheduled to be implemented by other ministries and local governments.
The Ministry plans to promptly and seamlessly execute this year's budget, totaling 16.5 trillion won, to ensure that policy support for small business owners, SMEs, venture companies, and startups is delivered effectively.
Video series covering major programs such as funding, exports, small business, startups, and R&D will be produced and broadcast through the Ministry's YouTube channel, and this year's guidebook and detailed program information files will be posted on the Ministry's official website and the Business Plaza portal.
For SMEs and small business owners who are unable to attend the comprehensive briefing session, on-site briefing sessions will also be held by each regional office. Approximately 260 on-site sessions will be conducted between January and February, in collaboration with local governments, universities, and major associations, tailored by sector and target audience.
Those wishing to participate in the on-site briefing sessions can contact their local regional office by phone or check the schedule on each office's website.
Small business owners interested in support programs can subscribe to the "Kakao Project Regulars" channel to receive information on support programs from the Ministry and local governments via KakaoTalk.
