LS Electric is entering the European market by supplying ultra-high voltage transformers to a German energy company.
According to industry sources on January 11, LS Electric recently signed a contract worth tens of billions of won to supply ultra-high voltage transformers to a German energy company and is currently conducting final quality tests. The products are scheduled to be deployed in the local transmission network.
Europe is the world's third-largest power equipment market after the United States and China. As global investment in artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure expands, European countries are building large-scale transmission and substation infrastructure to enhance grid stability while increasing renewable energy adoption. The demand for ultra-high voltage transformers is also rising due to the growth of solar and wind power installations.
