It was belatedly confirmed on January 9 that Lee Young, former civilian Vice Chairman of the Youth Policy Coordination Committee appointed under the Yoon Suk Yeol administration, recently resigned voluntarily.

Former Vice Chairman Lee submitted her resignation citing "personal reasons" and was dismissed at the end of last year.
On Facebook, Lee stated her intention to step down, saying, "Given the nature of the committee, close coordination and cooperation among (government) organizations are essential for more dynamic policy implementation."
Lee was appointed for a two-year term on September 19, 2024.
