Inspection and On-Site Guidance on the Use of Facilities and Equipment
for Farms Participating in the Past Five Years
Gijang County (Governor Jeong Jongbok) will conduct follow-up inspections and on-site guidance for farms that have participated in agricultural technology dissemination pilot projects over the past five years, starting from January 12. The goal is to ensure the stable establishment of these projects and to achieve tangible results.
The agricultural technology dissemination pilot project aims to introduce new agricultural technologies and materials to the field in order to improve the quality of agricultural products, increase income, and reduce labor. The effectiveness of the project is maximized when continuous management and guidance are provided even after the project ends. For this reason, Gijang County has been implementing systematic follow-up management every year to prevent the pilot project from becoming a one-time support initiative.
This inspection will take place from January 12 to January 30, 2026, through direct visits to farms in Gijang County that have participated in the agricultural technology dissemination pilot projects. The inspection targets farms that participated in the projects from 2021 to 2025, with a particular focus on verifying whether the facilities and equipment provided are being properly utilized in the field after the project’s completion.
The inspection will cover the actual use and management status of the supported facilities and equipment, as well as whether their operation aligns with the project’s objectives. In particular, assets purchased for more than 5 million won will be designated for five years of follow-up management in accordance with relevant regulations, with a focus on checking actual usage and whether they have been transferred to others.
This on-site guidance will go beyond simple inspection by directly listening to the difficulties faced by farms and providing tailored technical guidance and improvement measures. Through these efforts, the county aims to enhance the utilization of facilities and equipment and provide practical support for the overall management of farms.
Governor Jeong Jongbok stated, "For the agricultural technology dissemination pilot project, post-support management and on-site guidance are more important than anything else," adding, "Through systematic follow-up management, we will ensure that the pilot project leads to increased farm income and reduced labor."
