Providing Tailored Educational Support for Students Facing Emotional and Psychological Challenges
The Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education announced on January 8 that it will be accepting applications for "Alternative Education Commissioned Institutions for the 2026 Academic Year" to support students at risk of dropping out due to difficulties in adapting to school or emotional and psychological challenges.
The Alternative Education Commissioned Institutions project aims to prevent students from dropping out and to help them adapt to school by providing educational programs tailored to each student's individual characteristics and circumstances.
Eligible applicants include institutions related to alternative education operated by public agencies, non-profit organizations, and social groups that wish to be designated as commissioned institutions. The final designation will be made after a review by the Selection Committee for Commissioned Institutions.
Applications will be accepted from January 9 to 19 by mail or email, and the results will be announced on February 4. Detailed information regarding the application process can be found on the Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education website.
Kim Gwangsik, Director of Democratic Life Education, said, "We hope that many institutions will participate in this call so that we can provide diverse alternative education opportunities for students at risk of dropping out due to difficulties in adapting to school or emotional and psychological challenges."
