Expansion of AI-Based Customized Lifelong Learning
A Total of 218 Courses Offered
Gimpo City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kim Byungsoo), announced on January 8 that it will be recruiting students for the 1st semester of the 2026 Eup, Myeon, and Dong Closer Learning Centers in order to expand citizens' opportunities for lifelong learning and to create a community-based learning environment.
This year, the Eup, Myeon, and Dong Closer Learning Centers have significantly expanded AI-based customized programs based on the results of resident-tailored surveys, which is a key feature that allows for a more precise reflection of the actual learning needs of citizens.
A total of 218 courses will be offered, including 207 in-person courses and 11 online courses. The curriculum focuses on citizen participation in practical skills, health and healing, basic literacy, and culture and arts. Approximately 3,943 students are expected to be recruited in total.
The courses will run from February 9 to May 26, 2026, and will be conducted as community-based lifelong learning programs tailored to the local conditions and characteristics of each Eup, Myeon, and Dong.
