[AI Revolution](182) Data Leaks the Moment You Use AI... Innotium Unveils 'Intelligent Security'

As generative artificial intelligence (AI) becomes deeply integrated into corporate work, the focus of security is also shifting. We are now in an era where uploading internal documents can instantly lead to information leaks. In an interview with The Asia Business Daily at Innotium's office in Guro District, Seoul, on January 6, Lee Hyungtaek, Co-CEO of Innotium, stated, "In the AI era, it is necessary to control not only where the data is, but also who uses it and how," adding, "Data security must be redesigned from the perspective of AX (AI transformation)."

Founded in 2010, Innotium is a specialized security software company that provides the "Inno Smart Platform v11," a platform that integrates 11 essential data security functions, including document encryption, information leakage prevention, ransomware blocking, and secure backup. The platform operates in cloud environments and features centralized management, allowing all functions to be controlled through a single management system.

CEO Lee emphasized the issue of "fragmented security" that frequently occurs in corporate settings. As companies adopt security programs at different times and from various vendors, conflicts between programs can cause computers to crash (blue screen), and management personnel and maintenance costs are duplicated. He also pointed out that the data accumulated by each program is scattered, making it difficult to analyze with AI and predict risks.

To address this issue, Innotium has developed a centralized management system that allows security functions to be assembled like modules. It can be used not only on regular PCs but also in virtual desktop or network-segregated environments. Based on 20 patents, Innotium has obtained security certifications and registered 13 items for government procurement.

One of Innotium's strengths is its control over external document transfers. Its flagship product, "nPouch," is divided into protection of manufacturing design blueprints, personal information protection, and internal confidential document tracking and management. "nPouch 3D CAD" encrypts blueprints shared among partner companies, tracks who accessed them and where, monitors them in real time, and can remotely delete them if necessary. It is explained that by reducing the speed degradation and version compatibility issues of traditional document encryption programs, both work efficiency and security are improved. "nPouch Privacy" encrypts personal information exchanged with external vendors in multiple layers, tracks its location, and enables automatic remote deletion. This is a way to reduce legal risks in situations where the responsibility for personal information management by the contracting company has been strengthened.

In addition, Innotium has built a platform-based data security system that covers PCs and all end-user environments where corporate work is conducted. Its document centralization system, "InnoECM," centrally manages the entire process of document creation, storage, and sharing. "SecureZone" separates and controls secure and export zones within a PC. "innoMARK" tracks screen captures and printout leaks. "RansomCruncher" detects and blocks ransomware infections in real time and supports automatic recovery. "LIZARD Backup" is a secure backup solution designed for disasters such as fire or hacking. The key differentiator is that all these solutions can be managed under a single management system, eliminating the need to operate them separately.

CEO Lee remarked, "Ultimately, the most vulnerable point is the user (employee). Employees have access to core internal data while also being connected to the outside, making them the easiest entry point for attackers."

With a balanced portfolio of public and corporate clients, Innotium has declared a leap forward this year as an "AI-based intelligent data security platform." The strategy is to develop a system in which AI analyzes the flow of data, such as personal or technical information, inside and outside the company in real time, predicts abnormal behavior, and responds accordingly. Through this, the company aims to increase its sales from 6 billion won last year to 10 billion won this year.

In particular, to address the risks of personal information hacking and insider leaks that have become issues in the financial sector, Innotium will introduce next-generation AI solutions that combine biometric authentication technologies such as facial recognition. CEO Lee stated, "Security is no longer just a tool for the IT department; it is a management challenge regarding how a company manages and takes responsibility for its data," adding, "The next stage of security is ultimately integration and intelligence, and Innotium is the platform that supports this transformation."
