Fire at Vocal Academy in Mapo-gu, Seoul: 2 Suffer Minor Injuries, 3 Evacuated

Fire Extinguished in 39 Minutes After Outbreak

A fire broke out at a vocal academy in Seogyo-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul, leaving two people with minor injuries.

According to fire authorities, at 6:41 p.m. on January 7, a fire occurred at a vocal academy located on the fourth floor of a neighborhood living facility in Seogyo-dong.

As a result of the fire, two people suffered minor injuries from smoke inhalation, and three others evacuated the building with the guidance of firefighters.

The fire authorities deployed 18 pieces of equipment and 63 personnel, and completely extinguished the fire at 7:20 p.m., 39 minutes after it broke out.

The authorities are currently investigating the exact cause of the fire.
