The Daejeon Lifelong Learning Center's Etiquette Education Support Center will operate the "Character-Building Seodang Camp (Let's Play, Ye!)" for three days from January 27 to 29, 2026.

This camp is designed for 15 elementary school students in grades 4 to 6, with the goal of enhancing their character, self-esteem, and social skills.

The Seodang Camp has been run by the Daejeon Lifelong Learning Center since 2023 as its flagship character education program, consistently receiving high satisfaction and enthusiastic responses from students each year.

In particular, the camp enjoys great popularity every session, as parents are highly interested in helping their children improve their character and social skills during school breaks.

The program offers experience-based character education tailored to students’ developmental stages. Participants wear traditional Korean attire such as dopo and yugun, take part in the traditional admission ceremony (Goyu-rye), experience traditional bookbinding, read classic texts like Dongmongsunseup and Sajaseohak, and enjoy traditional games and tea ceremony experiences.

The camp is structured to help students naturally appreciate the value and excellence of traditional culture, foster self-respect, and develop the ability to communicate and interact with others.

Applications for the Seodang Camp can be submitted through the Daejeon Lifelong Learning Center website from January 8 until 2:00 p.m. on January 15. A second session of the Seodang Camp is also scheduled to run during the summer vacation. For further details, parents are advised to contact the Parent Support Department.

Woo Changyoung, Director of the Daejeon Lifelong Learning Center, stated, "The Seodang Camp is more than just an experience; it is a meaningful learning opportunity that nurtures both character and social skills in students. We will continue to provide educational programs that support students’ healthy growth through traditional cultural experiences."
